Reserving a Location
To reserve a room for an event please contact the Special Event and Guest Services Department at (909) 537-5916 or https://www.csusb.edu/special-events. To reserve an event in the SMSU please contact SMSU Scheduling Office at (909)537-5962 or https://www.csusb.edu/smsu/scheduling-services. Tables, chairs, and other equipment can be arranged through the departments above.
We provide high quality plastic service-ware unless otherwise requested. We offer Eco-friendly service-ware products or china service for any event at an additional charge. Bartenders, Buffet Attendants, and Chefs can be provided for an additional charge.
We will provide the linens needed for your food and beverage tables at no charge. If you would like linen placed on any other table please let us know so we can include that on your contract. Additional charges will apply.

We will be happy to design, order, and handle specific floral and decorative requests for an additional fee determined in accordance with your specific needs. Decorative requests will require notice at least 7 days prior to your event.
As the host of the catering event, you are responsible for the equipment we have provided for the service of your catered event. Any missing or damaged catering equipment or supplies will be charged to your account at replacement cost. In the occurrence of a very large event, specialty equipment may need to be rented. We can provide this for you at an additional charge.
Services and prices are posted for normal business days in accordance with the University academic calendar. Events scheduled on University holidays or weekends will incur an additional labor charge.
Due to health regulations, it is the policy of CSUSB Hospitality Services and CSUSB University that excess food items from events cannot be removed from the event site, therefore, to-go containers will not be provided. Items purchased for pick-up should be properly stored prior to the event and removed and disposed of by the host of the event.
Changes and Cancellations
All cancellations and/or changes referring to the menu, count, and event arrangements must be confirmed 3 business days prior to the event. Any event that is not cancelled within this time frame may result in a 50% event charge. If you do not contact us with a final count within three business days prior to the event, we will prepare for the estimated number and charge accordingly.
All University catered events must have a secured payment before they occur. Valid forms of payment are: credit card or department account number. All other groups must arrange payment three days prior to the event by credit card.
There will be a delivery charge to any catering event not located on campus.
